Went for a lovley walk last night with my mum in the local woods, it was still light when we set out but on the way back the sun started to set. I took my little point and shoot with me, which I bought for occasions like this and I was glad to have it!

Some bare and creepy roots

Mum at the lookout, very serene don't you think?

Backlit grasses from the setting sun.

The setting sun turning the trees into silhouette.

Underlit silver birch, I really like how the golden leaves show up against the silhouettes of the pines.

The amazing sunset walking back to the car.
All of these were shot on a cheap Canon point and shoot which goes to show you don't need a huge heavy camera to get stuff like this!
